These terms outline the standards we uphold for both passengers and drivers to ensure a safe, respectful, and compliant service experience.

Driver and Company Undertakings

We are committed to providing a safe, reliable, and respectful travel experience for all passengers. Our drivers and staff follow these principles:

  • Professional Conduct: Drivers will always act courteously, respectfully, and professionally. Abuse or inappropriate behavior towards passengers is not tolerated.
  • Clean and Roadworthy Vehicles: All vehicles are regularly cleaned and maintained to meet safety and mechanical standards.
  • Punctuality and Communication: While delays may occasionally occur, drivers will make every effort to inform passengers promptly.
  • Safety First: Drivers are trained to follow road laws, prioritize safety, and may refuse service to anyone posing a risk.
  • Confidentiality and Respect: Passenger information is treated with discretion. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
  • Licensing and Insurance: All drivers are licensed, insured, and vehicles operate under a valid local authority operator license.

User Conduct

Passengers are expected to behave respectfully towards drivers and other passengers. Smoking, drinking, and inappropriate behavior are not permitted in our vehicles. Passengers may be held liable for any damage or soiling caused to the vehicle. Abuse of the drivers or company staff may result in a refusal of service.

Fouling and Damage

Responsibility for Damage: Passengers are responsible for any cost of restoring accidental or intentional damage or soiling caused to the vehicle during the ride.

Passenger Conduct

We expect all passengers to follow these guidelines for a safe and pleasant journey:

  • Respectful Behavior: Be polite and considerate to drivers and fellow passengers. Avoid loud or abusive language, especially during phone calls.
  • Prohibited Activities: Smoking, drinking, or engaging in inappropriate behavior is not allowed in the vehicle.
  • Illegal Substances: Transport or use of illegal substances will result in the ride being terminated and may be reported to the police.
  • Liability for Damage: You are responsible for any damage or soiling you cause to the vehicle.
  • Abuse Policy: Abuse of drivers or staff will result in refusal of service and possible reporting.
  • Compliance: Passengers must follow reasonable driver requests, including seat belt use and capacity limits.
  • Safety and Legal Compliance: Do not open doors while moving or behave in a way that distracts the driver or endangers traffic.
  • Use of Sound Systems: Personal sound systems are not allowed in the vehicles.
  • Filming the Driver: Recording the driver without their consent is strictly prohibited and may lead to prosecution.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring they collect all belongings when exiting the vehicle. We do not accept responsibility for any damage to property under any circumstances, nor do we accept liability for any personal injury, harm, or offence caused during the journey. Eastbourne Taxis Ltd and Go Now Ltd act solely as intermediaries, facilitating connections between passengers and fully licensed, independently insured vehicle drivers. By using our services, passengers acknowledge and accept that liability during the journey lies with the vehicle driver.
